Some cruising boats are at their best in the dealer's parking lot. Not the Tartan 4100, which is at her best either romping into a stiff sou'wester or anchored sedately in your favorite harbor. In either situation you'll appreciate the mobility of the T-shaped cockpit, the clear visibility afforded from behind the 44-inch wheel, and the fact that the hefty Harken 53 self-tailing chrome primary winches are located within reach of the helm. Wide, flat sidedecks, effective nonskid surfacing, and extra-high 27-inch lifelines make working on deck safe. And traditionalists won't be disappointed with the 4100's on-deck detailing; solid teak toerails and stern taffrail, a polished stainless-steel stemhead fitting, and special mooring chocks with built-in rollers are as functional as they are beautiful.
The Tartan 4100 turns 41 feet into the ultimate getaway space. The master stateroom features a queen-size berth with hanging locker, shelves, clothes stowage, and in-suite head with shower. The salon, with a varnished drop-leaf centerline dinette table that can handle eight guests for dinner or drinks, has a built-in entertainment center. The L-shaped galley features a top- and front-loading icebox, dual 9-inch-deep stainless-steel sinks, and a 3-burner gimbaled stove with oven and broiler.
Tartan 4100 owners tell us that their boats draw compliments from many admirers, and while it is impossible to place a price on looks, it is undeniable that aesthetic beauty enriches us each time we view it.

• Epoxy hull laminate producing a strength to weight ratio not attainable in any production polyester laminates
• Epoxy allows all uni-directional fabric laminate, no chopped strand mat
• Epoxy's superior adhesive strength reduces overall hull weight while increasing strength producing a faster and safer performance cruising yacht
• Strict resin control through use of resin impregnation machine and calibrated mixing equipment produces glass to resin ratio of 65% glass, 35% resin. (production polyester boats are typically 25% glass, 75% resin=heavy and brittle)
• Superior fatigue and cyclic loading characteristics of epoxy ensure a hull that retains its shape and strength longer resulting in higher resale value
• Extensive internal structure designed to carry rig and keel loads, glass taped into hull using modified epoxy resin
• CoreCell linear polyurethane foam hull coring, provides lightweight structure, stiffness, sound and thermal insulation and superior impact resistance
• Hull is vacuum-bagged and structure is laminated in “one shot” thus does not rely on secondary bonding of structural materials
• Hull is post-cure baked for 24 hours at 145 degrees increasing epoxy laminate characteristics.
• Epoxy hull laminate is far stronger than any polyester laminate of similar weight, i.e. greater safety margins while delivering superior performance over normal production polyester hulls
