BERTRAM YACHT 450

The Bertram 450, with its distinctive Bertram lines and spacious interior layout, reinforces Bertram's continuous quest for innovation.

Although the arrangement of the 450's flybridge was designed for fishing, great attention was also given to the comfort of guests. The U-shaped forward seating is a great amenity for both cruising and fishing and offers storage for fishing gear and safety equipment. The helm station on the 450's flybridge offers generous space for a complete electronics and navigation package. Plus, with twin 700 HP Caterpillar engines, the Bertram 450 can reach a maximum speed of 30 knots. The advanced design of the Bertram 450 offers the essential commodities of both a competitive sport fish, as well as a luxury motor-yacht.

The interior layout reflects the need for functional space; it allows for an active life on board, while at the same time offering a superior level of comfort and leisure. As on every Bertram, there is a separate engine and machinery room for equipment such as generators, pumps and water heater located forward of the lazarette. The area is completely waterproof and has a removable hatch, allowing for easy maintenance and service.

The interior compares favorably to much larger boats, meeting the needs of the sportfisherman, but has also the comfort of a cruising boat. Much attention has been paid to achieving a high level of comfort in a fairly contained space. The salon is warm and inviting, spacious and practical, with an optional wet bar with icemaker and sink forward of the dinette. In this area, a second helm station is offered as an option. The generous size of the galley also makes it supremely practical, with plenty of storage space.

The Bertram 450 offers three lavish staterooms with two heads, delivering both privacy and comfort to the owner and additional guests. The forward master stateroom is very luxurious and spacious with two wide closets and a large head with separate shower. One of the 450's key features is the comfortable guest stateroom with side by side berths and the recent addition of a 3rd stateroom with bunks. Its private head can also serve as a day head for guests with a separate entrance from the companionway. The optional washer and dryer, located in the 3rd stateroom, are easily accessible yet remain unobtrusive.

In 2000, the Bertram 450 was named Boating Magazine's Boat of the Year. Today, it continues to uphold its reputation by offering the same unparalleled "ride" that the Bertram legend was built on.
