CABO YACHT 35 FLYBRIDGE

Cabo's first boat, the Cabo 35 Flybridge was introduced in 1991 and greeted with rave reviews. With over 200 now fishing the oceans of the world, she's one of the best selling boats in the Cabo line-up. In 1999 she was redesigned from the bottom up to incorporate improvements and new engineering geared towards better performance and greater access to what was already one of the best mechanical layouts in the business. Whatever aspect you're looking at, the quality of the Cabo 35 is obvious.

A ride like no other.
The Cabo 35 deep-V hull rides exceptionally soft in choppy head seas and is one of the driest running hulls in the business. Her impeccable hull is further separated from the competition when you consider the manufacturing process and materials. Lightweight and impermeable vinylester resins are used throughout. Stitched biaxial fiberglass roving further strengthens the hull without adding excess weight. State of the art coring materials are used where appropriate to reduce weight and to enhance performance, but never at the expense of Cabo's legendary strength. The result of Cabo's top quality, unmatched materials, unique design and meticulous manufacturing process is a hull without peer. Comfort and performance, muscle and agility, no other boat even comes close.

Life aboard.
Appointments, materials and craftsmanship are on par with that of the finest custom yachts. Teak woodwork throughout is elegant and durable. The salon provides the perfect environment for relaxing or entertaining in comfort. Five can dine comfortably at the starboard settee, and there is additional seating located portside, aft of the galley. There's easy access to storage beneath settees and behind bulkheads. Cabo knows that storage is precious on board and none is wasted. In the galley, even the most discerning chefs will appreciate Corian countertops, twin burners, large refrigerator, and convection microwave oven.

Understated luxury continues below in the spacious double cabin. A large, double island berth on centerline with easily accessed dry storage below puts many larger boats to shame. Two rod lockers forward conceal as many as 10 offshore rods with reels. A spacious head with separate stall shower adjoins the forward stateroom. Two additional single berths are located portside in the guest cabin.

Classically strong lines, uncompromising materials and construction and a selection of custom decor packages combine and balance to meet the needs of dedicated sport fishermen and yachtsmen who demand the construction and meticulous craftsmanship for which Cabo Yachts is so well known.

Designed by fishermen.
As with any Cabo, fishability is unsurpassed on the Cabo 35 Flybridge. Her cockpit measures 130 square feet, unheard of on a 35 footer. Its clean, simple layout easily accommodates four stand-up anglers.

Padded bolsters ring the cockpit for extra comfort when bringing in big fish. Tackle and rigging equipment are easily organized in the twelve custom built drawers at the two rigging stations, which are located over the engine boxes. Easily opened for quick engine access, these boxes double as comfortable seats for watching baits, relaxing while running out to the grounds or hanging on the hook after a long day. Port and starboard cabinets running nearly the length of the cockpit provide storage for gaffs and bait nets, leaving the cockpit clean and free of obstruction when fighting a fish. Two six cubic foot fish boxes equipped with macerators lay flush with the cockpit sole, and both fresh and saltwater wash downs are close at hand. A 50 gallon bait tank is located in the aft cap rail, minimizing intrusion into valuable cockpit space.

While on many boats the transom door is just that, a door. Cabo's transom door is a masterpiece of design and construction. Opening outward keeps the cockpit clear and the top bar operates independently of the door panel in order to provide safety for the angler and crew while bringing large fish aboard. Massive, custom built stainless steel hinges add beauty and long lasting durability surpassing that found on any other comparable yacht.

The flybridge features a tournament style configuration, with aft situated helm chair and controls, allowing the captain 360 degree visibility, including an unobstructed view of the angler. When the fish moves off the corner, the responsive handling of the Cabo 35 will get you to the fish quickly. Comfortably seating five, the flybridge features a padded bench seat forward of the console with a large storage locker below. The engine instrumentation cluster is centrally located on the helm with easily read analog gauges. The console is designed to accommodate today's state of the art electronics, including radar, GPS, fishfinder and communications.

A storage cabinet for binoculars, sunglasses and other necessities is located conveniently in front of the companion chair. Additional storage lockers and access panels line the bridge.

Lavishly lauded by the marine press, industry experts and successful captains, the fishability of the Cabo 35 does something far greater than simply garnering professional approval. It allows enthusiasts to focus on their passion for sportfishing, and do it with the greatest comfort and pride possible.

Pocket battlewagon.
The Cabo 35 Flybridge will get you to the fish, and raise them, like no other boat. It also gives you the pride of owning what you know to be the very best boat on the water. Nothing but a Cabo will give you that same feeling. Experience a Cabo today.

Engine room
Cabo's emphasis on the best engineering, materials and construction is immediately visible no matter where you look. However, it is perhaps most important in the engine room. You'll find that the mechanical space in the Cabo is truly an engineering marvel, and one with which even the most particular owner or captain will find no fault.

Lift the hatch in the salon that leads into the 35 Flybridge engine room. If it weren't for the big turbo-diesels, you might mistake it for a hospital surgical suite. Every inch of surface is finished in glimmering white gelcoat for easy clean-up. Equally important, unparalleled organization and layout means there isn't any component or system that can't be easily accessed for maintenance. Fuel lines are aircraft grade braided stainless steel for durability and every hose is double clamped for security. All wiring and plumbing is clearly labeled and are the same grade you might find in a jumbo jet.

Anything running through a bulkhead is protected from chafing with polymer or high grade solid rubber grommets. Need engine access? Main access is through a large hatch in the salon floor. Easily removable panels inside the cabin access the front of each engine, with the dipstick and coolant tank in easy reach. Quick access is also available through the hinged engine box covers located in the cockpit. Combined, these three access options mean you'll never complain again about engine maintenance. Simply put, no production boat anywhere has a better engineered engine compartment than a Cabo.
