Alerion-Express 45 Yachts

The exciting new Alerion-Express 45 is currently under development by Pearson’s talented staff of designer’s and engineers. The hull master pattern will be robotically machined by Pearson Precision Tooling beginning in May of this year with the debut of hull #1 in late 2009.
The design brief for the stunning new 45 was clearly defined right from the outset.
  • Maintain strong family resemblance and performance heritage of the 33 and 38.
  • Maintain the philosophy of single Handed Ease and Alerion Sailing with low force level of operation for which the marque is renowned.
  • Provide the purchaser with endless sailing enjoyment and stress free ownership.
The profile shows the natural development from the 33 and 38 with an elegant sheer, low coachroof, elliptical port lights (to be opening in this model). The bow and stern profiles use the same geometry and family of curves  that are derived from the very DNA of Alerion-Express
The cockpit (or funpit) is the heart and sole of the 45. Maintaining the format of her smaller sisters with comfortable settees port and starboard and command center aft. However the 45 has room for a fixed pedestal table with a built in foot brace and winch island that accommodate powerful Lewmar 54 self tailing electric winches. The Alerion Express 45 sets a new low in the force level required to sail a 45 footer.
Aft the helmsperson can feel every nuance of the pulse of this thoroughbred through the pedestal mounted composite steering wheel. Control of all the sailing functions are close at hand. Push button winch controls, manual hydraulic vang and traveler adjustments, auto pilot or auxiliary, mainsheet or furler. The 45 takes Alerion Sailing to the next logical exciting plateau.

Alerion Express 38 Yacht

This is the long limbed big sister to all the Alerion Express models and a strong family resemblance is evident in the balanced overhangs, delicate sheer and proportionate cabin. A combination of modern underwater lines and a new deck, cockpit, cabin and topside by the Pearson design Group has produced a yacht that lives up to the Herreshoff legacy of classic beauty. The amazing strength of a modern carbon fiber mast by Hall Spars safely allows the elimination of the backstay, which in turn frees the mainsail for significantly larger size and better aerodynamic shape-proven by record setting windsurfers, multihulls and America's Cup contenders. Sail control by electric winches enables one person to hoist, reef, trim and lower sail, all from the wheel station. With the patented Hoyt Jib Boom adding offwind power, this is a 2 sail, self tacking rig that projects more sail area than any ordinary rig with a 150% genoa. The payoff is excellent light wind and offwind speed-all easily single-handed. Sail tests indicate speed superior to the competition and all for more reasonable price.

Taking A Look At What A Cocaine Test Does

A cocaine test can happen when you get a new job or have to have one to continue employment. This is one drug that they look for when they take a sample from you, with urine being the most common way of collecting one to test.
They do not test for cocaine as such, but for benzoylecgonine. This is cocaine that has been metabolized in the system and the remains for which they look for to fail you in the test. It does not matter if it is cocaine or crack, this is what appears.
Cocaine drug testing can give you a positive, even if you have no done the substance for several days. This is because the concentrates in the urine can change throughout the day, and like a pregnancy test, can be higher in the first urine of the day. This is not always true, however, since the length of time you have used the substance can also come into play with the amount that you have.
Drinking a lot of water can help dilute the urine and cause the cocaine to appear in your system light enough to be able to pass the test. Be aware, that you may be called in for additional testing since some labs get suspicious of this activity. There are also kits that offer nutrition, diuretics and guides that you can use to lower the amount in your sample as well.
Most of the time, a cocaine test will show the during in the system for 10 days or more for an average user. Generally, it will be out of your system in about a month. Your results can vary, and it can be sooner or later. The best way to pass any of the testing is to not use illegal substances, but if you do, there are things that you can do to help pass them.

Dubois Imagine Yacht

Overview

The new Imagine is something of a landmark yacht for Dubois Naval Architects.
She bears the name of one of our favourites, launched in early 1993. Both were built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand; the first Imagine at 33.6m was our third design constructed by that yard and the new Imagine, somewhat larger at 44.2m, is the 21st!
A composite daggerboard, semi-balanced composite blade rudder and an Alloy Yachts custom helm feedback system enables superb performance and stability at speed.
The owner so loved the first Imagine that he wanted to emulate the appearance and character of the earlier yacht and to embody in the new yacht many of her attractive features. The owner’s racing passion and close association with the America’s Cup, Volvo and TP52 races has seen, with great success, racing technology transferred and blended into this classic superyacht.

Dubois Lady B 44,7m Yacht

Overview

Lady B is a very important yacht in the Dubois stable. She has a lifting keel which offers enhanced performance and puts her into a different league. Careful engineering was required so that the lifting mechanism would operate even if the yacht grounded. While there are many Dubois-designed yachts afloat of about her size, the 44.7m Lady B stands out for this reason. Her especially sleek appearance, matches the high sailing performance and expresses the character of this superb yacht.
Dubois developed the interior layout and the interior designers, Rhoades Young, have made a beautiful job of styling the interior and attending to the many details. The result is a striking vessel both externally and within.
Direct access to the owner’s stateroom from the aft deck is an interesting feature and is not only convenient but gives a wonderful light to this important area of the yacht.
Beautifully built by Vitters Shipyard, Lady B is one of the most sophisticated and well finished yachts of her size in the world today and will stand out as being a craft of exceptional quality, beauty and performance.

Zefira 49.7m Fast Cruising Sloop Yacht

Overview

Zefira is the 7th Dubois design to be built by Fitzroy Yachts and signifies a new and appealing development both above and below decks.
This 49.7m fast cruising sloop is the largest sloop Dubois Naval Architects has designed without a flybridge. She is of aluminium construction with a bulb keel and a maximum beam of 9.95m. Zefira’s lines, silhouette and technical performance are something to be admired.

Zefira was built for Italian owners who are wonderfully passionate and artistic. Previously owning an older Dubois-designed sloop, the challenge to us was to combine our extensive experience with a fresh look at style, while still embodying all the features which combine seaworthiness with performance. Comfort below was essential, as was the detail and finish. This has been provided by the inimitable skills of Remi Tessier.
Both the interior and exterior are equally spectacular. This elegant yacht will continue to look contemporary long into her life, well-standing the test of time. An interior Dubois layout styled by Remi Tessier creates a very special ambience and when placed into a Dubois-designed hull, the final result is simply outstanding.

Ad Lib 40m Motor Yacht

Overview

The design for Ad Lib was based on the successful SQN - another Dubois / Alloy collaboration launched in 2003.
Ad Lib, however, is longer, faster, sleeker and even quieter than SQN.
Her owners will enjoy the Southern hemisphere summer before Ad Lib heads north to the Mediterranean at Easter time. We are sure that she will be received as yet another example of excellence of construction in all areas from this now famous shipyard.
Constructed by Alloy Yachts, New Zealand, January 2004 - September 2005.

Dubois Como 41.1m Motor Yacht

Overview

Como was launched in New Zealand in 2007 and commenced sea trials the same day. Built by Alloy Yachts, she measures 41m in length and has a displacement of 214 tonnes, making her the largest motoryacht built by the shipyard to date. A performance yacht, Como nonetheless epitomizes luxury and comfort.
Equipped with two caterpillar C30 1550 hp diesel engines she has a cruising speed of 16 knots and a sprint speed of 17.5 knots.
Finished in dark blue with a metallic silver superstructure, her smooth exterior lines are enhanced by a solid line of black windows across the main deck.
